Cheryl Boyce-Taylor is the author of the memoir Mama Phife Represents. She is also a public speaker, community activist, and the founder of the Malik Taylor Foundation. Boyce-Taylor is a graduate of Howard University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. She lives in New York City with her family.
